Fysieke eigenschappen van CrossFit

Totale fitness of  in het engels: General Physical Preparedness (GPP) is het nastreven van een complete, goed getraind lichaam. Dit is alleen mogelijk met een diverse en gevarieerde training, en niet direct te specialiseren. Binnen CrossFit trainen we iedereen op tien fysieke eigenschappen:

1 Cardiovasculair vermogen The ability of body systems to gather, process, and deliver oxygen. Vooruitgang boeken door training
2 Uithoudingsvermogen / Stamina The ability of body systems to process, deliver, store, and utilize energy.
3 Kracht The ability of a muscular unit, or combination of muscular units, to apply force.
4 Flexibiliteit The ability to maximize the range of motion at a given joint.

6 Snelheid The ability to minimize the time cycle of a repeated movement.

9 Balans The ability to minimize transition time from one movement pattern to another.
